uhg

Every surface in our apartment is covered in clutter right now, and it's quite the dilemma because 1) I don't feel like cleaning, and 2) it's driving me crazy because I can't find anything!! So my question to you is, who wants to come on over and clean for me?! Oh, but that won't help either because I still won't be able to find anything if I didn't put it away myself. Lose lose. Blah.

My second question is, does anybody have a box of matches and some lighter fluid? That might be a faster solution.

Constant Companions

I've been seeing much more of these than I'd like to recently.

Rice Krispie Treats

For best results, use fresh marshmallows.
For disgusting results, use marshmallows six months past their "best by" date.

Ruined

While in my home land, Rob and I had our teeth cleaned and checked by my Dad (the best dentist in all of California). After looking at my x-rays, Daddy-dearest found something he's never seen in any of my x-rays before.

A CAVITY!!!

After 27 years of going without any, I got my very first cavity drilled and filled. It was a sad day. I was pretty proud of my no cavity mouth! And now it's gone forever, never to return.

After the dentist appointment, I walked through the door to my parents house and declared, "I'M RUINED!"

to which my sister replied, "I forgot how dramatic you are."

Me? Dramatic?! Never.

pity party for one

We moved into a 2-bedroom apartment in North Salt Lake last week. I miss our condo. I miss being downtown. I miss owning. Renting sucks. I'm pretty bummed out about the whole thing. There are still lots of boxes to unpack but I just don't feel like it. Trying to find the silver lining....

Can't Sleep

It's 2:18 in the morning. I can't sleep. All I can think about is the fact that we have to move out of our condo (soon to be somebody else's condo -- sadness!) on Thursday of next week and WE STILL DON'T HAVE A PLACE TO MOVE INTO YET!!!! Seriously, what the heck are we doing? Did we think a place to live would just magically appear out of nowhere? Are we just going to be homeless? I hear sleeping on a park bench is quite pleasant this time of year...

So here's the deal....Up until this point, we've been thinking we'll buy another place and have been frantically looking for something with an agent. BUT, as it turns out, because of Rob's student loans and because I'm currently not working, we don't qualify for a home loan anymore!! So now we're just looking for a decent place to rent. I've been scouring Craigslist for leads, but now the real question is:

DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY TWO BEDROOM PLACES FOR RENT THAT ARE AVAILABLE ASAP?? If so, please let us know!

p.s. -- Is it really worth trying to go back to bed now? I'm sure Sara will be up any minute. ... This is going to be a long night.

Happy Medium?

I can't decide which is worse; paying $40 for a good hair cut at a "full service" salon but still not really liking the style and feeling like you paid too much, or paying $13 at Supercuts and getting not only a bad style, but a bad cut to boot. Pay more for a better cut? Save money and live with a butcher job? I told Rob I can just tell people Sara cut my hair. Not a plausible story yet? Guess I better keep working on my excuses. Or maybe just break down and end up spending the $40 at the full service salon so they can fix this thing.

Medicaid, don't let me down!

An itemized bill from Primary Children's came today. It's ten pages, front and back. The total charges are more than the sale price of our one bedroom condo. And keep in mind, this is only the bill from the hospital. The bills from each doctor come separately. Joy oh joy!
