Terrific Twos

Ava turned two at the end of August! We had a simple little party for her with just the 4 of us in our backyard.

Below is a video of us singing "Happy Birthday" to her. For some reason me poking her arm with my pinkie finger on "....to you" made her really sad. Luckily she perked up in time to eat the cake!

(Bonus, you get to see Ava's famous "sad face"! Haha. She makes that little droopy-head frowny face a lot. Sensitive little thing.)

We actually celebrated Ava's birthday a day early because Sara and I flew to California on Ava's birthday (how rude!). So here are some pics of Ava on her actual birthday:

half a year

Little Ava is halfway through her first year. How did 6 months go by already? They grow so fast. Everyone says it, but it's true. 

Her latest accomplishments include: sitting unsupported...

...and rocking tummy time.

This one shows you how much bigger she has grown. The blanket she is laying on is folded in fourths, and at 1-month she is fully contained on it, but at 6-months, both her head and feet hang off the ends. :)

Ava 1 month

Our little Ava is one month old today.

Ava 1 month vs 2 days old

It's hard to tell in the photos, but Ava has already grown a lot in her first month of life! She has gained almost two whole pounds already! She is well past the 10-pound mark. No worries about whether she's getting enough to eat here!

Ava 1 week

There are too many places on the internet to post stuff; blogs, Facebook, family websites, Instagram, etc. It can get overwhelming at times trying to keep up with all of them. Maybe my blog should be more for actually blogging (aka writing) and not for photos....

Anyway, I realized I never put any photos up from our little photo shoot we did when Ava was one week old. So here they are!
