FREE
Let me just say that if you have something you want to get rid of but don't want the hassle of loading it up and taking it to the nearest thrift store, all you gotta do is put it in the online classifieds under the FREE section! We wanted to get rid or sofa and first tried selling it online for $100. No bites. Then I switched it to FREE and got 8 phone calls in one hour, and now it's gone! Somebody came and picked it up just a few hours after I posted the ad! Awesome.
So long fella. You've been a good place to sit for the past 5 years or so. Thanks for that.
So perhaps you (my dedicated readers) are wondering why we got rid of such a wonderful sofa. Well, it's because we moved. Did I forget to mention that?! Hee-hee. Well we moved in with my Grandma to help take care of her, and we didn't want to move the sofa because 1) it's really heavy, 2) there's no room for it in her basement, and 3) we'll just buy a better, more comfortable one the next time we move!
So there you have it. Online classifieds are the best. We had better results with KSL than we did with Craigslist, but it doesn't really matter because the couch is gone! Three cheers for a job well done!

Staring Contest
I find this completely awesome.
What a fun excuse to get together with friends!
I just might have to copy this idea sometime. Any takers?

Subject: Request for Invitation
(Because we all do a little blog-stalking from time to time.)
Dear Casual Blogger,
You hardly know me, but I've been blog-stalking you for a while now, and I was disappointed to discover that your blog is now private.
Despite the fact that we only met once at the party of a mutual friend, I would appreciate an invitation to your blog so that I may continue reading about your hobbies and secretly viewing your family photos from the comfort of my personal computer. Or laptop. Or iPad. I realize you may have overlooked how making your blog private has inadvertently limited my access to it. I know that wasn't your intention, so I will forgive you. And honestly, I can't really blame you. There are some real creeps out there.
After I confirm your invite, I promise not to leave any embarrassing comments, or any comments at all for that matter. That way you won't even know I am viewing your posts, and we can just keep things the way they once were; you continuing to share posts with funny anecdotes and personal life stories, and me continuing to read them with the same dedication and enthusiasm as, say, a close friend or family member. Well I know I don't actually fit into either of those categories, but I'd like to keep tabs on you just the same.
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing the photos from your next vacation.
Sincerely,
Overly Interested Semi-Stranger

It's magically delicious
and I ain't talking about Lucky Charms.

No offense to any vegetarians. Or lovers of magical make-believe creatures. Or lovers of magical make-believe creatures who are also vegetarians.

reading material
It's hard to get mad at the baby for pulling all the magazines out of the basket when I'm the one who keeps the basket on the floor, well within her reach, just sitting there, taunting her. But where else am I supposed to put them?!

Yes Please
Rob said to me the other day, "How about every time I come home later than I say I'm going to, I give you $10.00 to put toward shoes."

Bedtime
After 5 months of sleeping in a bassinet, Sara FINALLY has a crib to sleep in! She likes being able to stretch her arms all the way without them hitting the edges of her sleeping quarters. She likes being able to roll over in there (which means she is now starting to sleep on her belly, and there's not much we can do to stop it). She likes looking at the colorful bedding. Now all she needs to do is consistently sleep through the night and we'll be set!

Totally Looks Like
For as much as I loved this season of The Biggest Loser (and you know I did since this is the second time I've referred to it in a post), I really didn't like Ron and his sneaky conniving ways. So when I saw this comparison on totallylookslike.com, it like, totally made my day. Also, if there's one thing I would never want to be compared to, it's Jabba the Hut. YIKES! (click on the word YIKES to see what I mean, and also to kill about another hour of your time.)

My hands hurt
Jar manufactures really shouldn't seal those lids so tight. My forearms are gonna be sore for days! But on the other hand, I just accomplished something that for three minutes and during several failed attempts seemed impossible. Yay me. Now let's go eat some salsa!

based on a true story
Once upon a time there was a Daddy who came home for lunch. While eating his sandwich and sitting by his daughter who was laying under her activity mat toys, the daddy leaned over and said, "We named you Sara because it stands for Sweet And Really Awesome."
And they all lived happily ever after. The End.

Random
Whenever I look at a clock and it says 3:06
I always think to myself, "...Parkview Circle"
I'll bet there's a few of you out there who just did the same thing!
Ahh, the good ole days.
