Land that I Love!

Happy Independence Day everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the holiday. Our day was spent by:

 eating popsicles

wearing patriotic attire

flying the flag

riding bikes

hitting piƱatas

watching fireworks

and enjoying time with family.

God Bless America!

p.s. Did you know the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays? It's true. I still feel the same way about celebrating our independence as a country as I did a few years back when I shared this post, also referenced as Spangled in the list below. -- I hope you give it a read. It is one of my favorite posts from this blog. (The first part is serious and the second is silly; a perfect combo!)

Also, just for fun, here are some posts from Independence Days past:
How we've celebrated our Nation's birth pre-blog:
  • hiked Ensign Peak and saw 5 or 6 firework displays from all over the valley
  • barbeques up the canyon with family
  • breakfast, swimming and/or fireworks with friends
  • road trip to visit out-of-State friends
  • parades
  • lots of yummy food!
  • and always singing Patriotic hymns in church. I love that songs like the national anthem and America the Beautiful are included in our Hymnbook.

Once again, Happy Independence Day to all!
