Goodbye 12th Ward!
Today was our last week going to church in our ward that we've been in for the past 3 years! We said our goodbyes to most of the people we've been friends with, but I know there are several of you who we didn't see or didn't get to say goodbye to. So GOODBYE ALL! We will miss you! I'm serious when I say I want to keep in touch with you, so if you feel the same way, let us know! We won't be moving too terribly far away, so we can still get together occasionally for a fun night out or in. So to those of you who also want to keep in touch, we hope to see you soon. Goodbye 12th Ward! It's been swell.

Random
Whenever I look at a clock and it says 3:06
I always think to myself, "...Parkview Circle"
I'll bet there's a few of you out there who just did the same thing!
Ahh, the good ole days.

Can't Sleep
It's 2:18 in the morning. I can't sleep. All I can think about is the fact that we have to move out of our condo (soon to be somebody else's condo -- sadness!) on Thursday of next week and WE STILL DON'T HAVE A PLACE TO MOVE INTO YET!!!! Seriously, what the heck are we doing? Did we think a place to live would just magically appear out of nowhere? Are we just going to be homeless? I hear sleeping on a park bench is quite pleasant this time of year...
So here's the deal....Up until this point, we've been thinking we'll buy another place and have been frantically looking for something with an agent. BUT, as it turns out, because of Rob's student loans and because I'm currently not working, we don't qualify for a home loan anymore!! So now we're just looking for a decent place to rent. I've been scouring Craigslist for leads, but now the real question is:
DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY TWO BEDROOM PLACES FOR RENT THAT ARE AVAILABLE ASAP?? If so, please let us know!
p.s. -- Is it really worth trying to go back to bed now? I'm sure Sara will be up any minute. ... This is going to be a long night.

Sara's Blessing

Sara's baby blessing was on Sunday. (In our church it is customary for babies to be given a blessing by their father. It is similar to a christening only it is not a baptism--children have the choice to be baptised when they are eight years old.) We were happy that my dad was able to be here for her blessing. He was in Utah for another dental conference, so we decided to have Sara blessed that same weekend. We got her a cute little white dress and shoes, and Rob's mom made the little bracelet for her! She was a good girl and stayed asleep for the whole blessing. Yay!

It'll grow back, right?
Well to follow up with my hair dilemma that I shared with you last week, I did end up going someplace to get it fixed, so now the hair is back to being short again. It's still about an inch and a half below my chin in the front, and then it A-lines a little and hits at the base of my neck in back. Lots of layers. It's a pretty cute cut in the end. I tried going to the Paul Mitchell school (thanks for the tip Christa, I used to go there in Provo but had forgotten that they have one in SLC also.) but they didn't have any openings in Phase 2 until today, and I needed a fix right then and there. SO I called the salon by my house where I've gone the past 3 cuts. Luckily they had an apprentice there who only charges $15 for a full-service cut (wash, cut, dry, style) and she did a good job. Evened out and softened the overly choppy layers and de-mullet-fied the length in the back. Anyway, no photos to show, but just wanted to let you know the hair has survived yet another attempt at saving money! Next time it's hair school all the way. No more Supercuts for me.

Happy Medium?
I can't decide which is worse; paying $40 for a good hair cut at a "full service" salon but still not really liking the style and feeling like you paid too much, or paying $13 at Supercuts and getting not only a bad style, but a bad cut to boot. Pay more for a better cut? Save money and live with a butcher job? I told Rob I can just tell people Sara cut my hair. Not a plausible story yet? Guess I better keep working on my excuses. Or maybe just break down and end up spending the $40 at the full service salon so they can fix this thing.

Sunday Best
Ok, so I used to be annoyed by those moms who would post a million photos of their kid and each photo is exactly the same. But it appears now that I've turned into one of those moms! As you will see below, I've posted 5 photos of Sara in her cute little Sunday outfit (thanks again Christina!!) that she wore for her first time going to church. Go ahead and judge me for posting 5 identical photos of my little girl. I don't care. And while you're at it, you might as well judge me for taking her to church when she's only six weeks old! I know some would wait longer to bring their new baby out into the world, but we just felt too cooped up and wanted to show her off to everybody! She did outstanding and slept in her car seat through the first two meetings, and then was very cute on my lap during the beginning of the third hour until she got hungry and we snuck out to fill up her tummy. Let's hope she can be that well behaved at church every Sunday from here on out! ... A worthy goal, yet something tells me it ain't gonna happen...
Ok, enough rambling. Enjoy the photos in all their exactly alike-ness glory.

Medicaid, don't let me down!
An itemized bill from Primary Children's came today. It's ten pages, front and back. The total charges are more than the sale price of our one bedroom condo. And keep in mind, this is only the bill from the hospital. The bills from each doctor come separately. Joy oh joy!
